The children of Agape and their amazing, uplifting, harmonious voices have wowed audiences across the globe. I saw them sing with Annie Lennox at the Mandela 90th birthday concert and pre-ordered the 'We Are Together' DVD straight away. When so many things in the world are sombre and dark; this music really will lift your soul and make you realise how much hope and optimism is out there. Buy the CD. You won't regret it - and play your part in one of most talked about films of the year. [] We Are Together (03 August 2008)After watching the documentary last night on TV I can't say I was suprised to find this CD at #1 on the bestsellers list. The CD is a beautiful representation of South African music at its best. Not only that, the Children of Agape are such talented singers and I'm so glad a CD like this brings there music into more mainstream western society. This is definately a MUST HAVE album! The most captivating CD I have ever owned (22 March 2008)It is hard to describe the impact the music of the Agape Children leaves you with. We Are Together combines the Children's beautifully raw yet growing talents, throws in a dose of unbelievable emotion and passion for the songs, and is then brought together by the support of some of Africa's most revered groups - Ladysmith and also the Soweto Gospel Choir. This CD really has it all. The story about why a group of children from a orphanage in South Africa just happen to have a documentary film about them and have captured the hearts and minds of popstars, film stars and the public at large from the US, to Europe gets told most eliquently in the songs that play out on this CD that you need to add to your collection. Enchanting and beautiful South African music. (09 March 2008)This recording of the songs of Children of the Agape orphanage in South Africa is utterly enchanting and uplifting. I am going to give this as a present to all my friends because I know of few other expressions of the human spirit that have moved me so much. Apart from the beauty of the music on this CD, if you buy it, you have the added satisfaction of knowing that all the profits go to the orphanage. See the film as well. You will leave the cinema a happier person knowing that such joy can be found in even the harshest life. |
