(03 May 2010)Bought this CD as both my Husband and I love the film (it is our Xmas Eve tradition to match it in the evening whilst tucking into our Christmas chocolates). All the songs from the film are on it including the song Belle sings on the original video edit (when love has gone). Great accompaniment to the film. One of the best (19 January 2010)The film itself is one of the best interpretations of the classic tale that I've ever shared with my children. After watching it, we were humming the songs for days, to the point that we wanted to get this CD. Unfortunately, it's out of print in the United States, so I had to look across the pond to find it. Glad I did. This is a fantastic soundtrack that evokes memories of Kermit and the gang, and even Michael Caine does his best Rex Harrison impression while talk-singing! All in all, a great find! Muppet-tastic (27 December 2009)Having loved this film for years i was delighted with this cd. The beauty of the orchestral score is evident (perhaps more so than the film because you aren't distracted by the antics of the muppets !) and really shows how much effort was put into such a great film. Some extra songs made this more than worth its cost. Brilliant ! Muppet-tastic! (23 December 2009)Best four pounds I've ever spent, bought it earlier this year and have saved it until December. As a youngster (I'm 28 now) I was given the Muppet Christmas Carol VHS and have watched it every year since, I purchased and watched the DVD for the first time last Christmas and was sad to see the 'When Love Is Gone' song missing from the film, but not to fear, they are all here and more on the CD. It keeps me sane on my long drives to and from London to East Midlands and I will indeed be listening to it tonight on my journey home for the big day itself. If you are a fan of the film, then this will add some Muppet sparkle to your festivities for many years to come. True Christmas Spirit (13 February 2009)As a family, we watch the film every year at Christmas. It's become part of the tradition. We all know the songs off by heart and it's nice to be able to listen to them on CD as well. The CD includes the song "When love has gone" which was cut from the DVD version of the film for some reason. In fact there are two versions of it on the CD. A great dose of Christmas cheer whenever you want it. |
