| | Customer Reviews: Fantastic hard rock. A must!!! (20 October 2007)Have just bought this cd and it is excellent. From the outset the song Rebirthing is a real classic. Hard rock at its best. The cd really doesn't have a poor track throughout. They are a Christian band with positive lyrics which is refreshing considering some of the doom and gloom around nowadays. Buy, you won't regret. Brilliant !! (12 August 2007)I can truly say that this is a really good album, as are all Skillet's other albums. This is an album that truly uplifts the soul. I have few favourites from this album, including 'Rebirthing, The lastnight and Yours to hold' a brilliant album and the tracks are in good order. They are really a gifted group. I would be surprised if anyone didn't like their songs. All i can say is, be open minded. If you liked their other albums then you will like this one. But then there is a first time for everything. They're a good band guys. Try it! Give it a go. Skillet Da BOMB! (19 June 2007)I started listening to Skillet from their Collide album and loved them. I bought this album not knowing what to expect seeing as this album (from other sites) had been getting bad reviews. Well I can assure you they don't know what they're talking about. The album is great and fresh although i missed the screaming that they had on their previous albums. (That's my only gripe. Not really a good one either.) Songs are lovely, also Coopers wife has an excellent voice(thought i should mention it). Better than drugs is my favourite song. Check these guys out you wont be disappointed. Awesome (18 April 2007)This album is just awesome. With nearly every album I've ever bought, I've had to listen to it 2 or 3 times before really starting to like it, however I loved this album right from the first time I heard it. Before buying this album I had only heard "Rebirthing" and "The Older I Get" so I wasn't really sure what to expect, however I can assure anyone reading this that if you liked them this album is definitely for you. I would say that one of my favourite things about the album, is that not only is every song brilliant, but they are in the perfect order, each song kind of leads into the next and the whole album just sounds 'right'. This is definitely an album you can listen to over and over and never get bored of, just make sure you turn the volume right up.  Yeah, it's good... (05 January 2007)The album has some great tracks that stay with you (Rebirthing, Comatose and Whispers in the Dark are some) but these tracks are dotted around the album, and the ones in between you can hardly say anything special about sometimes. Don't get me wrong; this is a good album, with a good strong feel applied to themes such as waking up to God and sticking with it in this life. But the inspired feel isen't a consistent one. Worth owning for the good tracks if you feel the need for some strong emotional stuff. |
